"Heart," as in "the strength of my heart and my portion" (Tehilim 73:26), MEANING THE SHECHINAH, CLOTHED BY THE HEART, AND CALLED 'STRENGTH OF HEART'. FOR HER SAKE HE ASKED, "MAKE MY HEART SINGLE." All this I entreat, DAVID SAID, in order "to fear your name," to be attached to the fear of You and properly to keep to the path." "To fear Your name" refers to David's lot, NAMELY MALCHUT, DAVID'S PORTION, in which fear of Him dwells. FOR MALCHUT IS THE SECRET OF FEAR, AND IS CALLED 'FEAR,' AS IS KNOWN.
